About Sierra First Baptist Church
​
SFBC is a Christ centered, Bible teaching church. We welcome people of all ages, races and denominational backgrounds. At SFBC, inspirational music, the truths of God's word, sound biblical preaching/teaching and counseling will strengthen each believers faith and passion.

SFBC was started by the vision of men from the Southern Baptist Convention in 1957. There was a push to start 100 new churches in the state of California that year. Finances and workers from different organizations have kept this work going since then.
​
We believe a commitment to the great commandment and the great commission will grow great Christians and a great Church. To serve our community and God's
community world wide.

The Great Commandment:
"Teacher, which is the greatest commandment in the Law?"
Jesus replied: "'Love the Lord your God with all your heart and with all your souls and with all your mind.' This is the first and greatest commandment. And the second is like it: 'Love your neighbor as yourself.' All the Law and the prophets hang on these two commandments." Matthew 22:36-40

The Great Commission:
Then Jesus came to them and said, "All authority in heaven and on earth has been given to
me. Therefore go and make disciples of all nations, baptizing them in the name of the
Father, and of the Son and of the Holy Spirit, and teaching them to obey everything I have
commanded you. And surely I am with you always, tot he very end of the age." Matthew 28:18-20
